Every great dream begins with a dreamer. Always remember, you have within you the strength, the patience, and the passion to reach for the stars to change the world. – Harriet Tubman

Hello there! I’m Marya Khan, a soon-to-be graduate from Central Washington University in the charming town of Ellensburg, Washington. My passion for dentistry has been a lifelong dream, firmly rooted in my heart since I was a mere six years old.

Growing up in the picturesque valley of Yakima, located 120 miles east of Seattle, has been an eye-opening experience. Surrounded by flourishing fruit orchards, I was amazed to discover the wide array of apple varieties that exist. The process of growing, harvesting, storing, and distributing fruit was a revelation to me when I moved here in 2013. Moreover, I adore the close-knit community of Yakima and how we come together, celebrating each other’s diverse backgrounds and culture. Family time and enjoying the beautiful outdoors are cherished aspects of our town’s lifestyle.

As I venture on my journey towards becoming a dentist, I maintain a digital portfolio where I jot down my thoughts on various topics and share my life experiences. Beyond my academic pursuits, I hold a deep passion for family, culture, and human rights. Having been fortunate enough to travel and learn through my adventures, I aspire to share my insights with the world.

With graduation on the horizon, I am eager to embark on the next chapter of my life, following my childhood aspiration of making a difference as a dentist. The opportunity to positively impact people’s lives through oral healthcare fills me with excitement and a sense of purpose. I look forward to embracing this fulfilling career path and contributing to the well-being of individuals and communities alike.
